THE SECRET LIFE OF FRANKLIN CRUMP

as part of: Going Places (Doing Stuff) June 14, 2008 – August 2008

Aug 16/17th - double tour!

(a secret 2 day bus tour, led by David Felix Sutcliffe)

We will leave August 16th (Saturday), sleep under the stars, and return the next day, August 17th (Sunday).  We’ll return Sunday afternoon at approximately 4pm and drop participants off at Bryant Park.

Necessities: a plate, a spoon, a fork, a knife, a cup, toilet paper, snacks to share, a sleeping bag (and a sleeping mat if you don’t want to sleep on the cold cold ground), bug spray, a towel, bathing suit, booze, bug spray, a packed lunch for Saturday. Remember it’s a camping trip. Plan and pack accordingly. We’ll provide dinner on Saturday and Brunch on Sunday but feel free to bring extra stuff to share.

Wear a black or white shirt or dress or superhero cape,

Bring a writing/drawing utensil, a story about neighbors, strangers, or thieves, and an object, item and/or thing that is odd, delicious, repulsive, and/or extraordinary to touch, smell, taste, see, and/or listen to.

Extra Special Items To Bring But Not The End Of The World If You Don’t Have Them: musical instruments, drums, wigs, sunglasses, a funny hat, a wedding dress, pilot goggles, briefcases, business suits, furry bathrobes, silky nightgowns, tap shoes, toilet paper tubes, doctor scrubs, a stethoscope, roller skates, rabbit ears, neon-colored capes, masks, blindfolds and boomboxes.

Also: We need tarps and tents. Let us know if you have one and how big it is.

Lastly: We are requesting that you bring 30 dollars to help pay for the bus and for our driver, a sweet quiet man named Marcus.
We’ve kept all the trips free but the overnight adventure is out of our budget. Think of all the money you’ll save from not going out in New York City on a Saturday night.

David Felix Sutcliffe is a filmmaker, a teacher, and occasional rabble-rouser. He has hosted subway parties, sound tours, public waltzes and stranger dinners. He knows how to sew, swim, yodel, drink whiskey, flip backwards, and imitate the voice of Darth Vader (sort of). He has six sisters. His favorite word is Moon.
