Artwork Description: This is from a series of images called Satellites and Landers, representing the discovery and exploration of the mundane and ordinary. Each “ordinary” object in the image (in this case a light bulb) is printed at lifesize.

Artist Biography: Chad Stayrook is a living and breathing artist working in New York. He received a BFA from Ohio University and an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. Notable exhibits include “The Search for an unattainable beast…” at Romer Young Gallery in San Francisco, “Shooting for the Stars” at Vox Populi in Philadelphia, and the 2009 Incheon Women’s Artist Biennial in South Korea. Chad received the Van Lier Fellowship from the JCAL Studio LLC program. He participated as an Artist-in-Residence at the Tin Shop in Colorado, the Arctic Circle Program, and Harold Arts in Chesterhill, Ohio.
