ABOUT US
Located in Queens, Flux Factory Inc. is a unique organization: an art collective where young artists working in diverse mediums live and work together and support a large gallery with a dynamic slate of annual programming. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization committed to producing collaborative art projects that facilitate creative exchange between emerging artists, both within Flux Factory and far beyond. Entirely artist-run, we consider ourselves a creative laboratory for works in dialogue with the city of New York, even when invited by international hosts. Flux Factory has incubated more than 150 in-residence artists since its inception in 1994. We hold monthly salons at which artists present their work informally to peers.
Flux Factory’s second annual benefit art auction will be held on December 18, 2007 at the Hungarian Cultural Center in SoHo. All of the proceeds will go directly into funding new exhibition projects and supporting our mission to create new and ambitious collaborative works. By contributing to Flux Factory, you will help support our search for a permanent home and the innovative projects we have coming up in 2008.
