President: Morgan
Meis
Morgan Meis is the co-founder of the Flux Factory and a poet, playwright,
photographer, and philosopher. Morgan Meis is the editor-in-chief of the Graduate
Faculty Philosophy Journal, an internationally recognized philosophy journal,
as well as the founder and publisher of Little Room Press, which specializes
in the history of philosophy. He is also co-publisher, with Jason Brown, of
Flux Factory Press. With a small staff, both at these organizations and at
the Flux Factory, Morgan has been able to maintain everything from the smallest
financial details to an overall vision for the project.
Vice-president: Jason D. Brown
Jason Brown is the managing director of Flux insofar as everything that happens
in house or out is planned and coordinated, in some fashion or another, by
him. From the smallest detail to the overall artistic vision of the community
Jason has been at the epicenter of Flux’s development from almost the
beginning. Mr. Brown brings an extensive background in graphic design, bookmaking,
computer technical support, and carpentry and building skills to Flux as well
as an impressive history as a presenting and performing artist in various
venues locally and nationally.
Executive Director: Stefany Anne Golberg
Stefany has been putting on performing and visual arts events in New York
City for almost a decade. In addition to coordinating Flux Factory fundraisers
and multimedia shows, she has hosted a variety of events at such well-known
NYC clubs as Galapagos, Charas, and CB’s Gallery. She is a Contributing
Editor and Co-founder of The Old Town Review, an online cultural and political
journal. Stefany is also an artist and musician in her own right and is presently
working on an MFA at Bard College.
technical Director: Sebastien S. Santamaria
Sebastien creates and maintains the entirety of Flux Factory’s graphic
interface, in both printed and interactive form. He also organizes and manages
the gallery space, in coalition with the gallery curator. This includes searching
for artists locally and internationally. In addition, he is the technical
director for all events that take place at the Factory. Sebastien received
the Diplome National des Arts Plastiques from Montpellier University and has
exhibited his works internationally, where they have garnered numerous awards
and distinctions.
The Flux Factory has a Board of Advisors who are frequently
consulted in planning the present and future direction of the organization.
Radoslav Petkov is the Deputy Director of the Economic and
Regional Development Program of the East/West Institute in New York. As such,
he leads research and policy advisory projects in support of economic development
and transition in Central and Eastern Europe. He has extensive experience
in dealing with governmental and non-governmental organizations.
Flux Factory is also greatly helped by one employee:
Jason Braun: Director of the Flux Factory recording studio. The studio
is a twenty-four track analog based studio with a full digital recording and
editing platform, featuring Neve, Studer, and SSL gear. This studio has been
used to record various Flux related projects with many more slated for the
upcoming year. Currently he is in the process of creating a Flux recording
label, which would be the home for innovative and experimental music produced
by the greater Flux community.
