Ian and I made about 300 little blocks of plaster today in the gallery; anybody should feel free to grab a few of these and carve into them, to make little houses, tenement towers, etc. glue things to them, paint them, carve, sculpt.

and I made a few examples of my digital print-wrapped foam buildings. this looks nice but might be a bit much work for such a large scale. i think this mixed with some marker and spraypainted buildings might suffice.

Lots of stuff to fit into a small area. I think it works though… Text will be a lot sharper in print.

ok, so that was the city logo,
this we can use for something else?!

some examples of what i’m thinking of using this foam material to cut buildings, quick-n-easy. these will populate the ‘outer boroughs’, so to say. i’ll figure out how to get the digital printouts onto the models, and this stuff should take paint well. anybody want to join me for some fun model-making days?

some people have requested ‘courtyards’ – this aerial view best-shows how this can be achieved. i’ll get out my flocking materials to fill this with some plant-like life, see how it looks.
