a lookout pier on the south (?) edge of the diorama, looking out towards the statue island. I am currently fabricating the entire south embankment, with piers, etc.
going to build a fence-like thing around the perimeter too.
note: there are very red and orange trees in BPNY now!!!
also note: this bit of model sits on top of a piece of foam which create the substrata of the diorama, and upon which all the building models and structures will rest; this substrata is approximately 19mm or 3/4″ thick.
