Sniff Out is an exhibition from Bruno Silva, a current Flux Factory Artist-in-Residence. By wandering from space to space, Bruno invites the visitor to stroll around the existing architectural and ambient features of Flux Factory.
The meeting point is the gallery space of Flux Factory.
Please join us on Thursday, December 13th, for our monthly community potluck and art salon: an informal time to catch up with old friends, eat something delicious prepared by our artist-chefs, and explore Bruno Silva’s exhibition Sniff Out.
The event is free, but please do bring food or drink to share!
Part of this event will take place in the Flux Factory kitchen, which is up a long flight of stairs. Unfortunately, this event is not wheelchair accessible.
The perceptual quality of things and the intensity of ordinary events are protagonists in the work of Bruno Silva. In his practice, he lets himself be surrounded by forms, observed or found according to moments of strolling, personal experiences or random encounters that become the sources of his work. These characteristics found in everyday life lead the artist to determine a relationship between an object and its environment, and voluntarily suspend the definition of the work in favor of memory and a form of collective speculation. Bruno Silva has recently exposed at ZZ Studio in Lyon (France) and at Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris (France). He has also exposed at FELT Galleri, Bergen (Norway), TARS Gallery in Bangkok (Thailand), Galeria do Sol in Porto (Portugal). Bruno realized residencies at Vivarium, Rennes (France), Hordaland Kunstsenter, Bergen (Norway) and at Residency Unlimited, New-York.
