About OTR The Old Town Review publishes original essays on books, art, culture, travel, and politics, plus web logs with comment, links, and debate. The site operates somewhat like a Mayan calendar, with fast-moving web logs updated frequently, and new essays each month. The result is hybridization between traditional periodicals and publishing technologies that are unique to the web. Readers can visit the site once a month, once a week, or once a day and find new writing.
