Ian Montgomery

Ian Montgomery received a B.A. in Studio Arts at Bard College in 2003 and was an Artist-in-Residence at the Lacoste School of the Arts in 2002. Trained as a Carpenter and furniture maker, his current work combines found materials with organic patterns and processes.

I know that this picture is really cheesy, I was just trying to give a sense of what I was thinking about making. As far as the characters go, I am going to sculpt people that I see on the subway (a past time I have had since moving here.) I am also about to go on a short trip to Iowa where I will spend some time in Wal-mart to capture those big heartland people and bring them back to Opolis.
