I often employ handiwork skills associated with women’s work—weaving,
knitting, and sewing. These were among the original recycling skills

This is a “found” chair abandoned by its owner who acquired
it originally at a going out of business sale. It is upholstered in
a knitted plastic fabric made of New York Times home delivery bags which
were deposited one by one on my doorstep over the course of four years.
