Bruno Silva
Born in 1986 at Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, Bruno Silva lives and works actually in Clermont-Ferrand, France. The perceptual quality of things and the intensity of ordinary events are protagonists in the work of Bruno Silva. In his practice, he lets himself be surrounded by forms, observed or found according to moments of strolling, personal experiences or random encounters that become the sources of his work. These characteristics found in everyday life lead the artist to determine a relationship between an object and its environment and voluntarily suspend the definition of the work in favor of memory and a form of collective speculation.
Bruno Silva has recently exposed at ZZ Studio in Lyon (France) and at Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris (France). He has also exposed at FELT Galleri, Bergen (Norway), TARS Gallery in Bangkok (Thailand), Galeria do Sol in Porto (Portugal). Bruno realized residencies at Vivarium, Rennes (France), Hordaland Kunstsenter, Bergen (Norway) and at Residency Unlimited, New-York.
