Ditte Lyngkær Pedersen
Ditte Lyngkær Pedersen (from Denmark, b. 1977) is a multi-disciplinary artist working in video, installation, and with collaborators. She is invested in deconstructing the intersections of the subjective and the objective perspectives, in order to pose alternative narratives and forms of representation of what we consider reality. The work explores the dynamics of language, synesthesia, critical strategies, identity and how the media influences our perception of our selves and the world.
In conjunction with her individual work she has been engaged in a number of long-term collectives and curatorial projects, including The Production Unit, HOMEWORK and the exhibition space ‘rum46’ in Århus. She holds an MFA from Malmö Art Academy, Sweden 2004, an assistantship with Sharon Hayes, New York 2005, and several grants, exhibitions and residency programs. She is currently based in Berlin and in Århus/Denmark.
