Eva Khachatryan

Eva Khachatryan is an independent curator and Vice-President of AICA Armenia. She has been actively engaged in contemporary art since 2003, working at the Armenian Center for Contemporary Experimental Art (ACCEA) as a curator and later as co-director of its Visual Arts Department. She runs Suburb.am platform focusing on project-based art residencies, and in 2025–2026, she will serve as Team Lead & Key Expert Culture at the Goethe Institute in Yerevan. Her curatorial work explores socio-political themes and new media, with key projects including “Women’s Dialogue”, “Art in the Age of New Technologies”, and exhibitions such as “Alternative Vision” (Vienna) and “Memory and Identity” (Basel).

Eva has co-organized the “Transkaukazja” festival (Warsaw), curated public art projects like “City in Use” (Yerevan), and participated in research-based projects such as “Gender Check” (MUMOK, Vienna). She has led international seminars, including “Intersection of Parallels” (Yerevan). Recent projects/exhibitions include “Listening to Imagine” (Yerevan 2020), “Things We Sense About Each Other” (Karlsruhe 2021), and “Everyday Poems” (ICA Yerevan, 2024). She also oversees residency programs in partnership with Weltkunstzimmer (Düsseldorf) and CEC ArtsLink.
