How many of us entered (or even left) art school with the dream of making a living from one’s art? Maybe one would be ‘discovered’ and get a dealer, or a curator who liked you and would put you into shows with stipends, maybe you would work for a while, apply for the odd grant, and build one’s reputation until one could quit the job. Maybe you’re happy to never quit the day job and keep making whatever you want, apart from any market or art world expectations. Maybe you’ve figured it all out, in which case, congratulations!
Featuring work ranging from painting, photography, video, sculpture and performance from artist who daylight as teachers, security guards, construction and retail workers, market researchers and more. Join us at 1pm on Sunday afternoon for “Day Job”, Worst Case Scenario Costume Karaoke!
