Flux Thursday: Karaoke Choir
Thursday, December 14th
Doors open at 7pm
Music from 8pm – 10pm.
The nights are long, the days are short and snow has fallen. As we approach the longest night, let’s get warm and raise our voices together. No need to know how to read music, as this is a KARAOKE CHOIR!
Come and eat food and drink warm liquids as we sing beautiful choral works by composers such as Arvö Pärt and Gavin Bryars as well as folk and pop songs (but not the ones you might expect!). Artist and musician Stephen McLeod will lead participants in a selection of songs to warm your heart (also open to requests, but no jingle bells!)
Sing or listen as you feel comfortable, but certainly eat as this is a yummy potluck, as usual for flux thursday. Please bring something to share and enjoy an evening of song.
