June Flux Saturday: Tangled Vines

For June Flux Saturday @governorsisland Abby Cheney and Hanna Washburn invite you to join them in creating Tangled Vines, a temporary installation made of reused and recycled materials happening at 404A Colonels Row. We invite anyone to bring any materials they wish to add to the installation to the island on Saturday, June 24. We will also have materials on hand for anyone to use. The work will be constructed on Saturday and will be on view through 5pm on Sunday, June 25.

Feralpy is a radical and untamed exploration of experimental forms of therapy by artists curated by Jemila MacEwan and Amelia Heintzelmann for Flux Factories summer programming. Meal8: Open Kitchen is centered around dishes that can be cooked in the absence of fire. With the limitations of the available kitchen in mind, we explore in this menu propositions for a kitchen without heat: cooking without a stove or oven; operating with limited access to water; and focusing on fermented, cured, macerated, preserved, and pickled ingredients.
