From May-October 2023, Flux Factory will be returning for our third season as an Organization-in-Residence on Governors Island with artist studios and public events.
Governors Island is a 172-acre island in the heart of New York Harbor. As part of their arts and cultural programming, Flux Factory will be in residence in the historic Colonels Row along with many art and nonprofit organizations.

We will be open to the public weekly on Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 11am-5pm with a to-be-announced schedule of special programs produced by Fluxers including monthly Flux Saturdays (the last Saturday of each month), exhibitions and open studios.
On the last Saturday each month from May through October. Organized by different artists each month, the program will take many forms including pop-up exhibitions, performances, workshops, screenings, artist presentations and more.

Location: Colonels Row House 404A, indoors and front lawn area. Houses are not wheelchair accessible; the first-floor gallery is accessed via a staircase with 6 stairs with no handrail.

2023 Public Events on Flux Island
Feralpy is a radical and untamed exploration of experimental forms of therapy by artists curated by Jemila MacEwan and Amelia Heintzelmann for Flux Factories summer programming. For June Flux Saturday @governorsisland Abby Cheney and Hanna Washburn invite you to join them in creating Tangled Vines, a temporary installation made of reused and recycled materials happening at 404A Colonels Row. We invite anyone to bring any materials they wish to add to the installation to the island on Saturday, June 24. We will also have materials on hand for anyone to use. The work will be constructed on Saturday and will be on view through 5pm on Sunday, June 25.Find out more »
